Ivaylo Guenov | Concord

Ivaylo is Concord's Chief Technology Officer and specializes in modern implementation methodologies and system design techniques, including Design Thinking, Agile Delivery Processes and Patterns. He focuses on delivering innovative solutions for key Concord clients in energy, healthcare, telecom, and finance.

Ivaylo has a strong background in geographically distributed system implementations and has been instrumental in developing the Concord near-shore and offshore delivery capabilities through a focus on relationship building, communication, process maturity, and continuous value optimization.

Do you have any fun or exciting hobbies?

Road and mountain biking, rock climbing, skiing and snowboarding, and yoga.

If you could be any superhero who would you be and why?

Iron Man: does good, operates under cover, invents radical technologies, runs a big corporation and has a lot of money that he applies to the common good.

Have you ever been told you look like someone famous? If so, who?

Tom Cruise. But he is shorter, better looking and way more weird.

What is your favorite summer activity?

Spending time in big mountains.

What is one thing you did as a kid that you should have gotten in trouble for, but never caught?

Not telling.

I can hold a head stand for a long time.

If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go and why?

Everest Base Camp because of the physical challenge, the unique culture of Nepal and the rag-tag band of travelers you meet. My second and third options for similar reasons are New Zealand and Patagonia in Argentina.

If you could have unlimited storage for one thing, what would it be?

Body fat.
