David Roe | Concord

David Roe is the founder and CEO of Authentic, a full-service interactive agency supporting a global portfolio of enterprise-class brands. With a vision for identifying technologies that deliver superior interaction and experiences, David has a unique ability to design modern enterprise architectures that can support the most ambitious of requirements. David was also integral in establishing the organizations belief in composable architectures, and in developing a number of platform enhancements that are currently residing in some of the leading headless CMS platforms on the market.

Having worked as an Enterprise Architect and Consultant in the content management, application development, commerce, and digital experience market for over two decades, David has established himself as an energetic and creative technology leader. Both at Authentic, and at previous companies - where his roles included Enterprise Architect and CTO, respectively - David has helped many of the world’s largest companies and organizations adopt imaginative technical solutions that deliver results.

Do you have any fun or exciting hobbies?

I enjoy travel. Whether for work or just for fun, I’ve been fortunate to visit some fun spots. I’m also a private pilot and spend a good amount of time practicing and staying proficient.

If you could be any superhero who would you be and why?

I am notoriously bad at superheroes. I’ll take one of the flying ones; perhaps Iron Man?

Have you ever been told you look like someone famous? If so, who?

Never.

What is your favorite summer activity?

I love a beach. I spend as much time as I can by the ocean.

What is one thing you did as a kid that you should have gotten in trouble for, but never caught?

Too many things to count, but there may have been a few fires. Perhaps some furniture burned. Thankfully, we not only got away with it, but also didn’t get hurt or do any real damage. My brother and I were pretty dumb.

Tell us one thing no one knows about you.

I love a seafood tower.

If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go and why?

I would go to South Africa and hopefully will at some point. I would love to see lions, elephants and all the rich wildlife of the area, then hop on a boat and see a great white shark. That and just the beautiful landscapes.

If you could have unlimited storage for one thing, what would it be?

There is nothing I want unlimited storage of. In fact, take some stuff!

What is your favorite TV channel?

I’m a little ashamed of this, but there’s a ton of stuff to learn on YouTube. Whether it’s flying videos or learning how to machine new parts for engines. I’m a bit addicted.
